LTBB's school programming serves students from kindergarten through high school. Its flagship Innovative Digital Music Technology program, IDMT, is a CTE-approved, TEKS-aligned music production elective for grades 3 through 12. It is browser-based, requires zero downloads, and runs on school-issued devices.

LTBB K–12 Curriculum
01

Grades 3–5: Foundational Building

Outcome: Students complete introductory projects and digital storytelling work.

  • Four sound layers (Melody tells the story, Rhythm supplies the heartbeat, Growth develops skill and progression, and Spark adds effects and a signature sound)
  • Cross-curricular learning (timing and BPM in math, lyrics and storytelling in English, and sound waves in science)
  • CASEL-aligned practice (creative work connects production skills with social-emotional learning)

Grades 6–8: Deepening Technical Knowledge

Outcome: Students create, edit, and score multiple pieces.

  • Music production (beat-making, editing, arrangement, and collaborative work)
  • Song structure (students shape complete pieces with Beat Arranger)
  • Expression and teamwork (feedback and creative decisions build communication and collaboration)
Middle school students build technical music production skills.

Grades 9–12: Skill Enhancement and Career Prep

Outcome: Students complete a capstone project and a professional portfolio.

  • Career-connected learning (music production connects with business and audio/visual arts)

Three Core IDMT Modules

  • Module 1: Music Technology (DAW navigation and the four-color framework in about 3 to 4 class periods)
  • Module 2: Music Production (build an 8-bar beat with all four sound layers in about 4 to 5 class periods)
  • Module 3: Song Arrangement (structure a full song with Beat Arranger in about 3 to 4 class periods)

One Teacher Can Start

IDMT needs no district sign-off to begin. LTBB trains staff and hands over the full curriculum so the school owns the program.

A 6-week single cohort in one class period, plus 1-day teacher training, a full resource kit, and space for up to 30 students.

Curriculum Integration

Full-day teacher training of 5 to 7 hours, three core modules across 10 to 12 weeks, lesson plans, rubrics, guides, and space for up to 150 students.

IDMT Elective Pathway

A dedicated class period with 6 weeks of coaching.
